The Same Mistakes Every New POD Seller Makes

We did not start PodDropshippers.in as experts. We started it as sellers who had made every possible mistake in India's POD space β€” picked the wrong platforms, paid too much per unit, dealt with 30% RTO on COD orders, uploaded designs that looked nothing like the mockups, and watched margins disappear.

Between 2020 and 2025, we tested literally every print-on-demand supplier available in India and several major global platforms. We spent money on samples. We dealt with print quality disasters. We switched from platform to platform looking for the right combination of price, quality, speed, and reliability.

We placed real orders on all of them β€” tested print quality, dispatch times, packaging, and how they handled complaints. We built spreadsheets tracking cost-per-unit, RTO rates, and actual profit per platform.

2022 β€” Breaking Through Found our winning formula β€” anime and graphic tees on Amazon India. After two years of testing, we found the combination that worked β€” niche designs (anime, graphic culture, regional language) on Qikink's platform, listed on Amazon India. Qikink's zero RTO policy and β‚Ή185 base price made the unit economics work at scale. We started seeing consistent daily orders and our first profitable months.

2023 β€” Expanding the Catalog Scaled into phone cases, accessories, and All-Over Print. We expanded beyond T-shirts into phone cases, accessories, and AOP products. Tested Printful and Gelato for international orders alongside our Indian setup. AOP on Qikink became one of our best-performing product lines β€” uniqueness meant no price competition and stronger margins than standard apparel.

2024–2025 β€” Exit Sold the POD brand to new business owners. After building consistent monthly revenue selling anime tees, graphic T-shirts, phone cases, and AOP products on Amazon India, we sold the business. The brand had proven systems, supplier relationships, and a validated product catalog β€” which made it attractive to buyers looking for a running POD operation.
